Theme of the Week #6: Raphael Vicenzi

Raphael Vicenzi has a portfolio full of beautiful portraits and colorful, hippie-like illustrations. This piece is my favorite, because of the color, the 'model' and the, haha, lightbulbs! In it's own way, it is full of detail, and it takes a while to notice everything that Raphael has included in his work.

Theme of the Week #5: Dan Mountford

Yet another piece you discover new things about every time you look at it. Dan Mountford's double exposure work is interesting and neat, and puts simple things and ideas into beautiful perspectives.

Theme of the Week #4: Nanami Cowdroy

All of Nanami Cowdroy's pieces have intense amounts of detail, and are clearly inspired by traditional Japanese shapes and figures. Her work is very impressive, with a similar style in every piece, all equally stunning!

Theme of the Week #3 & Artist of the Week: Noil Klune

The petty  "Artist of the Week" recognition goes to an artist with the trademark technique of creating human figures out of "cloudy" paint strokes, and beautiful shades of pale colors. His work is distinctive, unique and oh so enchanting! His work also comes under "Theme of the Week", because of the details he manages to portray in his work, even with the technique he uses.

Theme of the Week #2: Cecilia Carlstedt

Beautiful, moving and full of detail. I bet you didn't notice the cats at first! I love this piece, mostly because of the great balance between the colors. This would look great on a huge wall in your room. Cecilia's work is equally impressive, and mostly consits of female figures and excellent composition.

Theme of the Week: "All in the detail.."

When you find artwork with impressive detail and endless structure, you can stare at it for ages. Every time you look at it again after a while, you discover something new about it. One example is this piece by Anna Emilia Laitinen, and excellent illustrator. It's enchanting, and most of all, impressive! More of her work, here!

Theme of the Week #5: Boo Saville

Boo Saville is one of the few artists I have found that have earned a Wikipedia profile article, and for good reason! Her work is known all over the world, for it's mystical edge and beauty. This skull sketch is my favorite, because of the suggestive figures around the top of the skull. Reminds you a little bit about a girl running around in the fields in summertime, does it not?
